We are so excited to be a vendor at the 2024 Baltimore Herb Festival! What an absolute honor to be surrounded by other herbalists and farmers all sharing their passion for herbalism! This years Herb Of The Year is YARROW!
The Baltimore Herb Festival will be an outdoor market held at Leakin Park (1920 Eagle Drive, Baltimore MD, 21207) on Saturday May, 25th from 9 am to 3 pm. Its going to be am amazing day to learn all about herbs, pick up some plants and some new herbal products!
Beeming Heart Botanicals will have all of the staple herbal tea blends, face and lip balms, body butters, pain salves, infused oils, and botanical room/aura sprays. We also have new mini sampler sets for the infused oils, butters/balms/salves and the botanical room/aura sprays at a super affordable price!! These are perfect for trying out new products, giving gifts, or just having travel sized herbal products with you at all times.
We will have a new product debuting for this festival, Little Bee ARNICA SALVE! As a mother of a 16 month old son who loves to run and climb on tables, Arnica is very much needed for all of his bumps and bruises! As a farmer and tired mother I often bump into alot of things and lift heavy things while holding a 20 pound toddler and by the end of the day my body is talking! I put Arnica on any area that has suffered an injury or is experiencing soreness, arnica helps calm inflammation as well as helps the bruise (hematoma) dissipate. This was actually a highly requested product from customers and I am so honored to bring it into fruition!
Guess what! Now you can become and herbalist too! We will be bringing German Chamomile plants and Yarrow plants to sell! Towards the end of the day we will also be giving them away FREE with purchase! Both of these plants are perfect for beginners and are so INCREDIBLE USEFUL!
German Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) —> prolifically produces small daisy-like flowers that are perfect to use fresh or dried. For herbal teas or infused oils! Chamomile soothes an upset stomach as well as emotional upsets that are all too common in childhood! A gentle nervine that helps quell anxiety and restlessness , making it a perfect herbal tea to drink before bed! Externally, chamomile is great for reducing inflammation from rashes and eczema-like conditions!
They also are beautiful, loved by pollinators and look stunning when swaying in the winds. They are prolific self-seeders, meaning one plant could give you up to 50 more plants, depending on how many flowers have dropped to the ground!
Yarrow—> A beautiful plant with feather-like leaves that look very similar to Chamomile plants. This plant produces unique looking flower (pictured above) that comes in white, yellow, pink and light purple! This plant is medicinal as well and is typically used externally. It is known for its styptic abilities, meaning it can stop the bleeding! This plant has saved me so many times when I have cut myself while working in the garden! I run to the plant, grab is feathery leaf, crush it up and put it directly on the cut and it stops it, it is truly amazing! You can use this plant fresh or dried!
