Meet the botanicals:

Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) infused oil: Considered a topical connective tissue support that may rebuild damaged skin by increasing collagen production and expediting the mending of wounds. It also may possess antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory making it an excellent herb for supporting the skin in soothing acne, eczema rashes, wounds and sores. Also thought to halt the of formation of scars forming due to its supportive presence to the connective tissues of your body.  

Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) infused oil: This oil gives a beautiful drink to the skin and imparts a glowing hydrated look. Purported to be full of antioxidants that may protect the skin from environmental damage while making the skin feel silky and radiant.

*Elderflower (Sambucus nigra) infused oil: This silky smooth flower feels incredibly soothing on the skin, especially may be helpful for smoothing and nourishing skin irritations.

Golden Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) oil: Jojoba oil is considered closest to your skin’s natural oils (sebum) so it will not clog pores and may possess anti-aging properties, helping to keep hydration within your skin thus helping soothe the appearance of fine lines, scars and other beautiful signs of an evolving body.

Sweet Almond (Prunus dulcis) oil: A wonderful emollient oil that is incredibly nourishing and jam packed full of vitamins (vitamin E) and minerals that help promote a long lasting moisture barrier to help lock in moisture and soften the skin.

Sunflower (Helianthus annus): An easily absorbed oil that is purported to be high in vitamin E and carotenoids that help reduce scarring and smooth the appearance of fine lines and existing wrinkles. This oil is very hydrating and wonderful for after sun care or when the skin needs a hydrating drink.  

Tamanu (Calophyllum inophyllum): A deep green oil purported to have wonderful skin health properties such as revitalizing and improving the texture of skin giving it a refreshed look. May protect the skin’s natural barrier keeping moisture locked into the skin.

Shea (Butyrospermum Parkii) butter: Thought to repair damaged skin due to its high amounts of nutrients such as fatty acids, carotenoids, and vitamin E. Helps form a thin protective layer to lock in moisture and soothe while softening dry skin.

Mango (Mangifera indica) butter: A wonderful moisturizing tropical butter that is smoothing and decadent to the skin. A similar butter to both cocoa and shea in texture, however is thought to have a different essential fatty acid profile.

Babassu (Attalea speciosa) butter: Similar to coconut oil in its texture and benefits however it generally tolerated better by sensitive and allergic skin. Considered to be non-comedogenic with fast absorption meaning it is very unlikely to clog pores and rubs in quickly. Thought to be excellent for hydrating the skin while minimizing scarring, maintaining the skin’s microbiome and imparting a youthful glow due to its high amounts of nutrients.

Beeswax (Cera alba): This wonderful ingredient not only imparts a beautiful honey like odor but also may form an anti-bacterial layer on the skin to lock in moisture, protect from wind and cold climates, while locking in the skin’s natural moisture. Purported to contain vitamin A, esters and fatty acids to lock in moisture and act as an humectant (draws moisture form the air into skin). This mighty wax is also thought to soothe irritation while warding off bacterial and fungal growth, truly amazing.

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) essential oil: Incredibly soothing, conditioning, and calming to the skin. Promotes deep self love through its aroma, instilling feelings of safety and pure love from mother earth. 

Frankincense essential oil:  A divine best friend for our bodies when it comes to scars and marks, because it promotes wellness within the skin. This magical essential oil also helps you connect to the highest version of love and peace while offering energetic and physical protection on your skin.

Ritual: Use a small amount and apply with hydrosol or to damp skin. Rub in until skin absorbs and celebrate the beautiful angel aura that shines from within.

When to reach for it: In times when you want to nourish your face, especially in cold or windy weather. Excellent to use after the face has been gently washed and before going out into the elements (wind, cold etc.)
